Naval Dockyard Apprentice Qualification Details : The minimum educational qualification required for apprenticeship training in Designated Trades is a passing grade in Std 10, as per the guidelines of the Apprentice Act 1961. Along with the Std 10 examination, candidates must have achieved a minimum of 50% marks. It is mandatory to have passed the ITI examination in the relevant trade, and the Provisional National Trade Certificate with an aggregate of 65% marks is also acceptable. The ITI/ trade test should be completed at an institute recognized by NCVT. Candidates must possess the required qualification as of the closing date of the application. For candidates applying for the Rigger trade as freshers, the minimum qualification is Std 8 pass, without the need for ITI. Candidates applying for the Forger and Heat Treater trade should have passed the 10th standard, without the requirement of ITI.
